What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient natural therapy with it’s origins in the East.  It is based on the premise that the feet and hands reflect maps of the whole body.
Reflexologists work on the principle that applying pressure and massage to reflex points  on the feet and hands stimulates a positive effect in the corresponding part of the body, creating balance and a deep relaxation which encourages the body to heal itself.  Reflexologists may also work on meridians and specific acupressure points found on the feet and hands, this helps to clear any energetic blockages.

Reflexology may bring relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including:

  • Stress-related conditions
  • Back Pain
  • Migraine
  • Fertility
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Hormonal Imbalances

Benefits of Reflexology

  • Improves circulation
  • May help to ease pain and tension
  • Promotes toxin release from body
  • Balances gland function
  • Boosts the immune system
  • Balances all body systems
  • Revitalises energy
  • Increases sense of well being
  • Promotes restful sleep

A Reflexology Treatment

A treatment normally takes about an hour, but please allow extra time for the first appointment as Grace carries out a detailed consultation with every client. This enables her to tailor the treatment plan to each individual client’s needs.

Grace will work on your feet using light-touch and massage on reflex points, meridians or acupressure points. The treatment can be deeply relaxing and can make some people feel sleepy or even fall asleep.
Almost anyone can have a reflexology treatment but if you do have a serious medical condition please contact your doctor before the first appointment.
